Tajin Fruit and Snack Seasoning, 14oz

Tajin...the key to getting kids (and mom) to eat veggies?

If you go to and leave without a pressing, relentless craving for melon, or really just about any fruit, sprinkled with (salsa en polva), a branded seasoning powder comprised of chiles, lime and salt, I think you need to go back because you did it wrong. It feels melodramatic to call this intersection of tangy spice and juicy fruit a national dish, but the spice blend is a staple on tables and at street vendors all over Mexico, and I dare say more popular than ketchup is here. If you go to someone’s home and they have a bottle of tajin in their cabinet, it’s usually right up front and there’s a spare somewhere near because it would be unfathomable to run out. If asked, the person will probably tell you that they had it once over melon, mango, pineapple or cucumbers one time, or maybe in a and they could never eat it another way again. I hope you consider that a warning.

Candelas is well known for its flavored Margaritas which include Jalapeno-Pineapple, Tamarindo, and Cucumber. Ortega ,who said she used to come to the restaurant before she worked there for the duck tacos and a Tamarindo Margarita, had three drinks prepared for me to try. One of them, the Chile Mango Martini made with Absolut Mango Vodka, mango puree and orange juice served with Chile Tajin rim was absolutely the best. I loved the Tajin rim; it was salty and sweet at the same time.

Review for Tajin Fruit and Snack Seasoning Clasico

This product is delicious and very versatile. We put it on fresh food to eat and it makes the best seasoning for grilling chicken. We have tried many BBQ seasonings and rubs this is by far the best. Our guests love it.

For something to last a little longer, begin with a Mezcal Mule (mezcal, tequila, rosemary-pineapple shrub, lime, ginger beer) or the Narcissistic Noriega. The latter matches mezcal with orange and cucumber for a basic, refreshing sipper, but rims the drink with Tajin, the punchy, addictive chili-lime-salt combination that you might have enjoyed elsewhere on mango.

El Tajin has some very unusual structures. Over 150 buildings have been identified on the site, although so far only around twenty have been excavated and restored.
